Garmin GPSMap 640 Product Review

How does it feel when you are new to a place and cannot find a destination easily? This is definitely an embarrassing situation and the GPS systems were invented to solve these sorts of problems. GPS or Global Positioning systems are used to map the location of the vehicles and it also directs the vehicles to find the correct locations. It uses the signals sent by the satellites revolving around the earth in specific orbit and the inbuilt GPS receiver catches the signal and transforms it into understandable directions. The GPS satellite generally transmits two different types of signals- L1 and L2.

Form Follows You, Nokia 888 Concept Cell Phone

Today the considerable consumers for the gadgets are the youngsters those who are always on the move and always looking for fresh new things. Manufacturers do take this segment seriously and keep developing new products for them. Nokia has come out with what they call is Nokia 888 Form, a perfect phone for the youngsters which allows them to be free and have fun. It is simple, light and carefree as one can change the form according the needs.

The Nokia 888 design is aimed to show case the activity prone life of youngsters thus it can adjust to the moment and function used. Technology used is that of liquid battery, speech recognition with flexible touch screen and touch sensitive body cover which lets the same understand and accordingly to the environment. It’s easy to carry as it can be bent and rolled and put into the cloth like a clip if not carry it around the wrist or as a usual phone. ROTON SATRIA NEO R3 LOTUS RACING EDITION –
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS

Introduction
Undertaking this project presented PROTON with a very difficult set of challenges, and
the primary concern was in being able to introduce a model that would be worthy of
being known as the Satria Neo R3 Lotus Racing edition.
With motorsports, more precisely Formula 1, there really isn’t any room for purely
cosmetics, and therefore, any production model introduced to celebrate PROTON’s
involvement with Lotus Racing in this year’s Formula 1 World Championship, must be
one that is worthy in being associated with the sport.
Addressing synergy in this unique relationship was perhaps the most critical first step
that was overcome and eventually paved the way to designing the Satria Neo R3 Lotus
Racing edition.
Exterior Styling
The classic Lotus Racing Green with yellow-inspired Lotus racing stripes of the Satria
Neo R3 Lotus Racing edition is no cosmetics treatment, and challenged PROTON’s
motorsports division, R3, to produce a vehicle that would live-up to the reputation of the
livery that is synonymous with the Lotus racing heritage and success.
If they say every car has a personality, then the overall design of the Satria Neo R3
Lotus Racing edition carefully brings together racing heritage and driving enjoyment to
communicate strength, performance, agility and in-car excitement.

Optimizing the flow of air and to generate down force, Satria Neo R3 Lotus Racing
edition features a race-proven R3 sculpted front bumper with a race-influenced wide air
dam and front splitter.
Signatures of yellow and graphite, when combined with the base Lotus Racing Green,
bring clarity to the shape and form of the front bumper, giving it a more pronounced
appearance and accentuating all the meticulous detailing that had gone into the design.
The rear bumper sports an equal amount of detailing, and a diffuser to assist with the
overall aerodynamics of the car.
One of the Satria Neo R3 Lotus Racing’s most distinctive features is its indented front
fenders with sports race-inspired side air vents with the Lotus Racing name prominently
emblazoned. This is also the first time PROTON is introducing a production model with
FRP (Fibre reinforced plastic) fenders.
A carbon fibre hood, tailgate spoiler and side skirts, 16” inch alloys and a lower ride
height complete the overall aggressive yet refined look
Interior Styling
Simplicity and subtle placements of the racing heritage colours within the interior create
a very exciting and sporty cabin, from detailing on the leather wrapped three-spoke
multi-function steering wheel with carbon fibre effect finishing and door trim, to the
shades of Lotus Racing Green on selected parts of the front fascia.
The Satria Neo R3 Lotus Racing edition also features exclusive nappa leather wrapped
PROTON bucket seats with carbon fibre effect inserts with perforated leather, detailed
with the yellow and green Lotus Racing embroidered insignia.
Other details in the cabin include an engine start button finished in polished aluminium,
R3 alloy gear knob and R3 alloy pedals.
Performance
Like all R3 signature vehicles, the Satria Neo R3 Lotus Racing edition was
conceptualized to strike a balance between power and handling, offering outright
performance in the form of a spirited as well as enjoyable drive.
Running on R3’s engine management system, specially-tuned R3 camshafts, alloy
under-drive pulleys, R3 tuned full exhaust system which includes titanium headers and
full stainless steel piping and muffler liberates 145 brake horsepower at 7000 rpm from
the 1.6-litre CamPro CPS engine. To create all this power, the engine breathes through
a K&N filter and R3 Carbon Fibre Airbox. The standard production model Satria Neo
and Satria Neo CPS is rated at 110bhp and 125bhp respectively.

Maximum torque also increases to 168 Nm at 5000 rpm, from 148Nm and 150Nm in the
base and CPS Satria Neo models respectively, enabling the Satria Neo Lotus to hit 0-
100km/h in a respectable 9.2 seconds, and up to a top speed of 200 km/h.
A great degree of effort went into setting-up the suspension system of the car. With the
base model Satria Neo already benefiting from Lotus ride and handling, the engineers
from R3 had an already strong foundation to improve on.
A set of Ohlins dual flow valve fully-adjustable suspension system with R3-tuned spring
and damper rates, a lower ride height, stiffened rubber suspension bushes and revised
suspension geometry, gives racecar-like direct steering input and cornering precision.
The Satria Neo R3 Lotus Racing edition runs on lightweight 16” inch alloys and benefit
from exceptional grip in the form of Bridgestone Adrenalin RE001 205/45 R16 tyres.
What is perhaps a first for a production model Proton car is the use of massive 4-pot AP
Racing calipers and ventilated discs for the front brakes. The Satria Neo R3 Lotus
Racing is also equipped with anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake
distribution (EBD).
Performance by Lightweight & Aerodynamics
Put on a diet, which epitomizes Lotus’ ideology of performance by lightweight, the Satria
Neo R3 Lotus Racing edition features several weight saving measures.
A carbon fibre hood, race-designed FRP front and rear bumpers, and lightweight FRP
front fenders provides not only weight savings but more efficient aerodynamics and
down force, that translates into better handling under extreme driving conditions.
The custom 16” inch lightweight alloy wheels meanwhile, further reduces unsprung
weight to enhance the overall handling.

Proton Tuah, Jebat, Lekir, Lekiu, Kasturi dan Perodua Bezza. Yang Mana Pilihan Anda?

Semalam aku baca kat blog Mello pasal Proton dan Perodua yang dah keluarkan kereta terbaru. Kalau tak silap aku namanya terdiri dari Tuah, Jebat, Lekir, Lekiu dan Kasturi. Satria Neo dan Proton Saga pun ada keluaran terbaru dan satu lagi kereta iaitu Perodua Bezza.


Tapi antara banyak-banyak kereta keluaran terbaru tu, aku paling berminat dengan Lekiu. Lantak pergi lah orang nak cakap taste aku huduh macam mana pun, aku tetap suka. Haha. Tapi aku tengok, ramai lelaki yang suka dengan kereta Lekir dan Perodua Bezza tu. Tapi kannnnn, nama dia tak boleh blah kan? Nama tak commercial langsung. Hahaha!







. Hahhh... kereta ni memang sesuai umtuk family..ada gaya tu..haha.. Ala-ala kereta Toyota Harrier. Pergh. Terbaik wok! Memang taste aku lah kereta ni ;)

PEGHHH!!!CUBA tengok kereta sport dan mewah.sebenarnya,semua penduduk malaysia mampu untuk memiliki sebuah kereta mewah seperti mazda rx-8. Harga dalam 118-200 ribu di MALAYSIA, Hanya menjadi RM30 ribu sahaja jika beli terus dari jepun bagi kereta RX8 ni. pengangkutan n cukai dalam area 30-40ribu. Kalau tak de ape2 halangan memang lagi murah dari kereta 2nd hand RX8 di Malaysia. Contohnya kereta ni yang aku surt kat laman web ni:

Soal jawab panduan cukai ini saya petik dari laman web Jabatan Kastam dan Eksais Di raja Malaysia. Ia memberi maklumat penting mengenai prosedur membawa masuk barang-barang bercukai dari luar negara.

1. Saya menulis bagi pihak pelajar-pelajar Malaysia di luar negeri. Kami telah berada di luar negeri hampir 4 tahun dan akan menamatkan pengajian tidak lama lagi. Kami ingin bertanya adakah barangan persendirian kami seperti buku-buku, pakaian, dan sebagainya akan dikenakan cukai apabila dihantar balik ke Malaysia?

Barangan anda boleh dipenjeniskan di bawah kod tarif no. 9800.00 400 sebagai "barangan persendirian terpakai (used personal effects)" di bawah Perintah Duti Kastam Malaysia 1996. Barangan yang dipenjeniskan di bawah kod tarif tersebut tidak dikenakan duti import dan cukai jualan. Bagaimanapun ungkapan "barangan persendirian terpakai" hanya meliputi barangan bimbit yang menepati syarat-syarat berikut:

* Barangan tersebut diimport bersama atau dalam bagasi pengimport berkenaan;
* Barangan tersebut telah digunakan dengan kerap dan diguna sendiri oleh pengimport berkenaan sebelum pengimportan berlaku dalam tempoh masa yang manasabah seperti yang ditentukan oleh pegawai kastam yang bertugas; dan
* Barangan tersebut diimport untuk kegunaan sendiri dan akan sering digunakan.

Dengan kata lain pakaian, buku-buku dan lain-lain barangan peribadi yang telah digunakan di luar negeri boleh dipenjeniskan di bawah kod tarif di atas.

2. Saya ialah warganegara Malaysia yang kini sedang bekerja/ belajar di luar negeri. Saya bercadang untuk membawa balik kereta yang telah saya beli di sana ke Malaysia selepas kontrak pekerjaan/ pengajian saya tamat. Bolehkah tuan beritahu prosedur membawa balik kereta tersebut dan berapakah cukai kastam yang akan dikenakan?

Kereta import (sama ada baru atau terpakai) dikenakan duti import dan cukai jualan di bawah Perintah Duti Kastam Malaysia 1996 dan nilai duti tersebut dikira berdasarkan nilai transaksi.

Selain itu, pengimportan kereta memerlukan permit import yang perlu dimohon daripada Kementerian Perdagangan Antarabangsa Dan Industri (MITI) sebelum pengimportan dibuat di mana beberapa syarat dikenakan.

Berkuatkuasa mulai dari 18 September 2000, kriteria yang diperlukan bagi mendapat pertimbangan lesen import (AP) untuk membawa masuk kenderaan persendirian untuk rakyat Malaysia yang bekerja atau belajar diluar negara adalah seperti berikut:-

* Pemohon berada diluar negara secara sah bagi tempoh tidak kurang 1 tahun;
* Kereta mesti didaftarkan atas nama pemohon sekurang-kurangnya 9 bulan di luar negara;
* Perlindungan insuran atas nama pemohon sekurang-kurangnya 9 bulan di luar negara;
* Mempunyai lesen memandu yang sah (lesen percubaan tidak digunapakai); dan
* Kembali ke Malaysia secara tetap setelah tamat tempoh belajar/bekerja di luar negara.

Anda boleh memohon permit dengan melengkapkan borang J.K. 69. Borang tersebut boleh dibeli daripada kedai buku utama atau Percetakan Nasional Malaysia Berhad*, Kuala Lumpur atau mana-mana cawangannya. Borang permohonan yang telah lengkap diisi bersama dengan dokumen-dokumen sokongan berkaitan (salinan asal dan fotokopi) seperti Pasport Antarabangsa, Kad Pendaftaran Kenderaan, Polisi Insuran, dokumen eksport, dan sebagainya mesti diserahkan dengan tangan kepada pihak MITI.

3. Setelah beberapa tahun tinggal di luar negeri, kami akan kembali untuk menetap di Malaysia. Kami bercadang untuk membawa balik barangan rumah sekali. Apakah syarat dan cukai yang dikenakan atas barangan rumah seperti perabut, pinggan mangkuk, barangan elektrik, pakaian, buku-buku dan sebagainya yang dibawa balik itu?

Barangan seperti di atas boleh dipenjeniskan di bawah kod tarif no. 9800.00 500 sebagai "barangan rumah terpakai (used household effects)" dan barangan tersebut tidak dikenakan apa-apa duti kastam di bawah Perintah Duti Kastam Malaysia 1996. Bagaimanapun ungkapan "barangan rumah terpakai" hanya meliputi barangan terpakai yang dipunyai atau dimiliki oleh pengimport yang memenuhi syarat-syarat berikut:

* Pengimport berkenaan tidak akan melupuskan barangan tersebut dalam tempoh tiga bulan dari tarikh pengimportan; dan

* Pengimport berkenaan berpindah dari tempat kediamannya di luar Persekutuan ke satu tempat kediaman dalam kawasan Persekutuan.

4. Adakah Tarif Duti Kastam Malaysia boleh diperolehi dalam bentuk ‘elektronik’ dan jika ada, di manakah boleh saya mendapatkannya?

Tuan boleh melayari Pengkalan Tarif Duti Kastam Malaysia melalui Pengkalan Tarif APEC di http://www.apectariff.org/ untuk mencari maklumat berhubung dengan tarif seperti kod tarif yang mungkin dan kadar duti terlibat bagi sesuatu barangan itu.
